Factory Panel Removal

  1. Using the included Torx T30 handle, remove the 16 Torx screws securing the factory panel to the tailgate.

  2. Once removed, using the included red-handle pry tool, remove the 16 plastic inserts from the tailgate. Be careful in this process, and make sure the tool's fingers align with the plastic insert tabs' orientation. This means = on the tool to = on the plastic tab "feet."... Feel underneath the tab to find the orientation. Once you pop one out, it'll be clear as day!

BaseGate Installation

  1. Clean the tailgate. Clean under each area where the plastic tab was removed to ensure the strong adhesive of the weld nuts in the next step.

  2. Attach the included 3M double-stick adhesive tabs to the included weld nuts, with the barrel of the weld nut popping up through the adhesive tab.

  3. Remove the top layer of backing from the weld nut, exposing the top sticky side.

  4. Pop each weld nut up from the bottom, with the adhesive facing up, to attach it to the tailgate.

  5. Check for visual alignment and CAREFULLY and GENTLY place the BaseGate atop the tailgate, tucking it under the factory plastic tailgate cap.

  6. BY HAND, thread each M6x30 screw into the weld nuts, tightening as far as you can with your fingers. The (8) M6x30 button head screws with 22mm washers go across the top of the BaseGate, the (4) M6x30 button head screws go on either side of the BaseGate, and the (4) M6x30 flathead screws go into the bottom of the BaseGate.

  7. Once snug, go back with the included 4MM Hex T-Handle and secure the screws.

Installing S*Nuts Inserts

  1. Using the included 4MM Hex T-Handle, remove the M6x10mm screws in each piece of L-Track, freeing the L-Track from the BaseGate.

  2. Slide in S*Nuts as desired.

  3. Reinstall L-Track, tightening by HAND.

Now, it's time to Spec Your Gate.
