Installation: Jeep Gladiator BaseGate + OutPost (2020 - 2024)

BaseGate and OutPost installation on the Jeep Gladiator should take roughly 10 to 15 minutes. No drilling or cutting is required. All the tools you'll need to remove your factory panel(s) and install the BaseGate and OutPost are included.

1. Remove the (8) Torx T30 screws securing the factory service panel with the included T-Handle tool. 

2. If installing the optional OutPost, remove the (4) Torx T30 screws securing the factory cover.

The BaseGate is secured to the Gladiator tailgate using (8) M6x30mm stainless steel screws (included). 

1. Use the included 4mm Hex T-handle to remove the 11 " L-tracks. At this time, insert any S*Nuts into the L-track. 

2. Reinstall center and outside M6x10mm stainless steel screws into L-Track, securing the 11" pieces to the BaseGate. THE INNER HOLES ON THE L-TRACK ARE LEFT EMPTY FOR NOW.

3. Remove 41" L-Track from BaseGate using the included 4mm Hex T-Handle. Install any S*Nuts into L-Track. LEAVE L-TRACK UNTIL YOU'RE READY TO INSTALL THE BASEGATE ONTO GLADIATOR TAILGATE.

4. The 6" L-Track pieces are included separately and do not need to be removed. Insert S*Nuts into the 6" pieces and drop the 6" parts into the BaseGate when ready to attach to the tailgate. 

1. Place the BaseGate onto the Gladiator in the location of the factory panel. Visually align the mounting holes of the BaseGate to the Gladiator.

2. Drop in 6" L-Tracks into channels on the outer edges. 

3. USING INCLUDED 4MM HEX T-HANDLE, BEGIN THREADING M6X30MM STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS INTO BOTH 6" L-TRACK PIECES AS WELL AS INNER HOLES OF 11" PIECES. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET. 

4. Note the countersunk M6 holes in BaseGate in 41" L-Track channel. Using included 4mm Hex T-Handle, begin threading M6x30mm stainless steel screws into BaseGate until screw heads sit sub-flush in HDPE. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET.

5. Using the inside/outside tightening method, tighten 11" and 6" pieces using the included 4mm Hex T-Handle. 

6. Secure final (2) M6x30mm screws in 41" L-Track channel. Do not over-tighten. 

7. Drop 41" L-Track into the channel and secure using (9) M6x10mm screws. Get 'em nice and snug. 

1. If inserting S*Nuts: Use the included 4mm Hex T-handle to remove the 6" L-Tracks. Insert any S*Nuts into the L-Track at this time, and secure the L-Track(s) in place. 

2. Drop OutPost onto the factory panel location. Secure using (4) M6x30mm stainless steel screws (included). 

1. Using the included 4MM Hex T-Handle, remove the M6x10mm screws in each piece of L-Track, freeing the L-Track from the BaseGate.

2. Slide in S*Nuts as desired. 

3. Reinstall L-Track, tightening by HAND.

1. Check all 4mm hex screws monthly during routine truck inspection. Tighten as needed. 

2. Clean/polish using 303 Protectant - available at auto parts stores + Amazon.
